Firstage Service Terms of Use
This agreement contains helpful information for using Firstage services. Please review it carefully as you must agree to these terms to use our services.
Firstage Inc. (hereinafter "Company") establishes the rights, obligations, and other necessary matters of the Company, users, and members in using the Firstage service (hereinafter "Service") provided by the Company in accordance with the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection and related laws.
These terms are effective from January 26, 2025.
Terms Used in This Agreement
- Member: A person who agrees to these terms and provides personal information to the Company to receive services and is assigned an ID.
 - Publisher: A member of the site operated by the Company who provides content to subscribers using content creation tools provided by the Company.
 - ID: An email address selected by the member and approved by the Company for member identification and service use.
 - Password: A combination of letters or numbers determined by the member to confirm that they are the member matching the assigned ID and to protect secrecy.
 - Subscriber: A non-member user who subscribes to member content through services provided by the Company.
 - Subscription Payment Service: A service provided by the Company that allows subscribers to pay subscription fees to receive paid content from publishers.
 - Subscription Contract: A paid contract between subscribers and publishers for content provision.
 - Site: The homepage where the Company provides services (e.g., <www.firstage.ai>).
 - Termination: The cancellation of a service usage contract by the Company or member after service commencement.
 - Spam Mail: Commercial advertising mail sent unilaterally regardless of the recipient's intention.
 
Posting and Revision of Terms
- The terms can be viewed on the front page of the Firstage homepage.
 - When terms are changed, the effective date and reason for revision will be specified and announced 7 days before the effective date.
- For revisions unfavorable to members, a prior grace period of at least 30 days will be provided.
 
 - If a member does not explicitly express rejection of the changed terms, it is considered consent.
 - If you do not agree, members may terminate the service usage contract at any time.
 
Membership Application and Service Contract Formation
- Users may apply for membership by agreeing to the terms, spam mail policy, and personal information collection and use.
 - The service contract is formed when the Company approves the application.
 - The Company may refuse or defer approval in the following cases:
- If there is a record of registration with the same email.
 - If registration is made with false information or by stealing others' information.
 - If there is a history of violating laws or terms.
 - If the applicant is under 14 years of age.
 - If service provision is difficult due to technical or facility limitations.
 
 
Service Use
- The Company provides services 24 hours a day, year-round. However, service provision may be limited in the following cases:
- During equipment maintenance or inspection.
 - When service disruption occurs due to service congestion.
 - When force majeure events such as natural disasters or power outages occur.
 
 - Members can utilize service functions (e.g., content creation, statistical analysis, etc.).
 
Service Changes
- The Company may change all or part of the service according to business or technical needs and will notify members in advance.
 
Information Provision and Advertisement Posting
- The Company may provide information helpful for members' service use through announcements, emails, etc.
 - Members may refuse to receive advertising emails except for transaction-related information.
 
Service Usage Fees
- Paid plans are prepaid with monthly or annual payment options.
- Monthly payment: Automatic payment on the same date each month.
 - Annual payment: One-time payment for one year of usage.
 
 - Plan changes apply from the next payment date, and no refunds are provided for remaining periods.
 
Refund Policy
Monthly Plans
- Within 48 hours of payment: 100% refund available if service is unused (less than 10 API calls)
 - 3-14 days after payment: Case-by-case review. Refund may be granted based on valid reasons
 - 15-30 days after payment: No refunds. Service considered fully provided
 - Exceptions: Service outages or billing errors may qualify for refunds
 
Annual Plans
- Within 14 days of payment: 100% refund for first-time customers (compliant with Paddle policy)
 - 15-30 days after payment: Usage-based refund calculation:
- Base plan usage fee = Monthly price × months used
 - Overage charges for exceeded limits
 - Refund = Annual payment - Total usage cost
 
 - 31-60 days after payment: Partial refund only for special circumstances (max 50% of remaining value)
 - After 60 days: No refunds. Alternative discounts may be offered for next renewal
 
Refund Processing
- Method: Refunds are issued as credits by default to avoid transaction fees
 - Timeline: Credits apply immediately, cash refunds take 5-10 business days
 - Currency: Refunds processed in original payment currency
 
Special Circumstances
- Service Outages (24+ hours): Prorated refund + 50% compensation
 - Duplicate Charges: Immediate full refund
 - Plan Downgrades: Prorated credit for unused portion
 
Member Obligations
- Member information must be based on facts and updated immediately when changed.
 - The following activities are prohibited:
- Criminal acts and violations of public order.
 - Stealing others' accounts.
 - Intellectual property infringement.
 - Sending spam mail.
 
 
Subscription Payment Service Usage
- Members may receive subscription fees through payment services provided by the Company.
 - Settlement occurs on the 25th of each month, and the Company may defer settlement when necessary.
 
Personal Information Protection
- The Company safely manages personal information of members and subscribers in accordance with relevant laws.
 
Intellectual Property Rights
- Copyright of content created within the service belongs to members.
 - The Company may have non-exclusive usage rights to use content for service operation and promotional purposes.
 
Limitation of Liability and Disclaimer
- The Company, as a telecommunications sales intermediary, does not bear responsibility for the content of subscription contracts.
 - The Company is not liable for damages due to force majeure events such as natural disasters or system failures.
 
Jurisdiction
- In case of disputes between the Company and members, Seoul Central District Court shall be the court of first instance jurisdiction.
