Tips
  • Access by bus from Shin-Yamaguchi Shinkansen station (approx. 40 min, 1,170 yen); driving is far more convenient.
  • Admission is 1,600 yen for adults; an extra 300 yen gets you the adventure path, which is slippery and more challenging.
  • Pack a light jacket — the cave stays around 17°C even in summer.
  • After the cave, walk up to the Akiyoshidai karst plateau for sweeping grassland views.
