Amanohashidate is a 3.6 km pine-covered sandbar stretching across Miyazu Bay in northern Kyoto Prefecture, ranked as one of Japan's three most scenic views. Around 6,700 pine trees line the narrow strip, resembling a bridge between heaven and earth when viewed from the hills above. Visitors can cycle across, ride a cable car, or try the famous 'matanozoki' — viewing the scene upside-down through one's legs.
