Korea's largest seafood market. The massive building houses hundreds of vendors selling live fish, crabs, sea urchin, and more. Pick your seafood on the first floor and have it prepared on the second.

Guide
Jagalchi Market is Korea's largest seafood market and Busan's most iconic food destination. Known for the Busan-dialect slogan 'Oiso, Boiso, Saiso' (Come, Look, Buy), it started as street stalls during the Japanese colonial period and evolved into today's massive building. Directly adjacent to Busan Port, the freshest catches arrive every morning. The first floor is the seafood market where you select live fish, crab, sea urchin, shellfish, or lobster. The second floor is the restaurant level — bring your purchases upstairs and they'll prepare sashimi, grilled, or steamed dishes for a 5,000-10,000 KRW preparation fee per person. Always negotiate prices. The rooftop observatory on the 7th floor offers panoramic harbor views. Outside the main building, ajumma vendors at outdoor stalls slice sashimi on the spot. It's a 3-minute walk from Jagalchi Station (Line 1) Exit 10, and easily combined with BIFF Square and Gukje International Market.
