Chidorigafuchi is a 700-metre green promenade running along the northwestern moat of the Imperial Palace, lined with hundreds of cherry trees that cascade over the water in spring, making it one of Tokyo's most celebrated hanami spots. By day, the path offers a canopy of pink blossoms; by night, illuminations reflect magically on the moat's surface. Renting a rowboat to drift beneath the overhanging branches is a uniquely memorable experience available from March through November.

- The nearest station is Kudanshita (Tokyo Metro Tozai / Hanzomon lines and Toei Shinjuku Line), a 5–10 minute walk away.
- During cherry blossom season (late March to early April), boat rental queues can last 1–3 hours. From 2026, Smart Tickets allow online advance booking to skip the wait.
- Boat rental costs 800 yen for 30 minutes or 1,600 yen for one hour per boat. Ticket sales open at 9 am.
- Arriving on a weekday morning gives you a noticeably calmer experience compared to weekends at peak bloom.
