Gangchon Rail Park is an experiential attraction where visitors ride rail bikes along the decommissioned Gyeongchun Line tracks beside the Bukhangang River. The 8km course from Gimyujeong Station to Gangchon Station offers scenic river and mountain views, with impressive LED light installations inside the tunnels. Located just one hour from Seoul via the ITX-Cheongchun train, it is a popular day-trip destination.
- Weekends and holidays sell out often; book in advance on the official website
- The Gimyujeong Station departure course is most popular; a shuttle bus returns you to the start after arrival
- Autumn foliage (October-November) along the Bukhangang River is at its peak during this season
- Choose between 2-seater and 4-seater rail bikes; the 4-seater is more economical for groups
- Tunnels can be cool, so bring a light layer even in summer
