The iconic Jumunjin breakwater, famous as the filming location of the K-drama Goblin (도깨비). The concrete tetrapods and blue sea backdrop attract fans and photographers year-round.
Guide
Jumunjin Breakwater is the spot where Gong Yoo and Kim Go-eun first met in the K-drama Goblin. Walk out along the concrete tetrapods lining the breakwater and the sea opens up on both sides. Even without the drama connection the scene is striking — the geometric contrast between engineered blocks and open ocean makes for compelling photographs.
After rain or on rough-surf days the tetrapods get slippery, so shoes with grip are essential. Early morning and late afternoon offer the best light for photos: soft sun turns the cold concrete warm. Jumunjin Fish Market and Sodol Rock Park are both nearby, so half a day covers the full Jumunjin loop.
