The largest beach on the East Sea coast, located in Gangneung, Gangwon Province. The sandy shore stretches 1.8 km in length and 80 m in width, designated as a provincial park in 1982. A 4 km pine forest frames the beach, and the nearby Gyeongpoho Lake adds scenic depth. The adjacent Gyeongpodae pavilion is famous for the legend of seeing five moons reflected in the water.
