Hamdeok Beach, Sinbuk-ro, Jocheon-eup, Jeju-si, Jeju-do, South Korea
An emerald-water beach in Hamdeok-ri, Jocheon-eup, Jeju City, designated a national tourist site in 1983 and one of Jeju's three major beaches. The 900-meter shoreline is shallow, making it ideal for families. The adjacent Seouybong oreumm (volcanic hill) frames the beach with seasonal color — yellow rapeseed in spring, green in summer. A sky bridge over the water adds a unique walking experience.
- Take intercity bus 701 from Jeju City for about 30 minutes. Check summer night swimming hours to enjoy the beach after dark. The Seouybong trail is an easy 40-minute one-way walk with great coastal views.
