Located on the second floor above Marion Crepes on Takeshita Street in Harajuku, Japanime Art Gallery Tokyo is one of the world's only permanent shops dedicated to anime and manga as art. Expect rare hand-painted animation cels, prints, posters, and figurines, all curated from global auctions and private collections. Multilingual staff — including English, Japanese, Italian, Spanish, Cantonese, and Mandarin — make it welcoming for international visitors.
- Exit JR Harajuku Station, cross the street, and walk a few minutes down Takeshita Street — the gallery is on the 2nd floor above Marion Crepes on the left; watch for the upstairs sign.
- Open daily 11 AM–8 PM, year-round — no days off.
- Staff speak English, Italian, Russian, Spanish, Cantonese, and Mandarin, so communication is easy.
- You can order online and pick up in-store, or opt for worldwide shipping if you want to travel light.
