Tucked in the forested mountains of Kurama, just 30 minutes north of central Kyoto, Kurama Onsen is a natural sulphur hot spring rich in iron, prized for skin-beautifying and fatigue-relieving properties. The open-air bath surrounded by cedar forest offers a deeply meditative soak with ever-changing seasonal scenery. Beyond bathing, the facility includes an on-site restaurant and overnight accommodation.
