About
The Mellakongdari Bridge Monument, set by a wall at Mokpo Station, commemorates a bridge built by Park Gil-su. People once had to take a long detour to cross the stream beside the station, so Park raised funds and contributed his savings to build a bridge in 1964. The monument recalls both the bridge’s nickname and the effort made for local residents.
