Mojiko Retro is a historic waterfront district in Kitakyushu's Moji Port, preserving a cluster of Meiji and Taisho-era buildings that attract around 2 million visitors per year. Landmark buildings including the 1912 Former Moji Customs House, the Former Moji Mitsui Club where Albert Einstein stayed in 1922, and the retro-style Mojiko Station now house cafés, galleries, and exhibitions. The Blue Wing Moji drawbridge over the Kanmon Strait and the local specialty baked curry are also highlights of the area.
