Musashi Ichinomiya Hikawa Shrine in Omiya, Saitama City, is one of Japan's most ancient shrines with over 2,400 years of history, and formerly served as the chief shrine of Musashi Province. The city name 'Omiya,' meaning 'great shrine,' was derived directly from this sacred site, which heads a network of approximately 280 Hikawa shrines across the Kanto region. The 2-kilometer approach lined with over 650 trees is recognized as one of the longest shrine avenues in Japan.

- From JR Omiya Station East Exit, it is a 15 to 20-minute walk, or about 5 minutes from Omiya-koen Station on the Tobu Noda Line.
- The shrine becomes one of the most crowded in Japan during New Year (Hatsumode) — plan accordingly.
- The 2-kilometer tree-lined approach is beautiful in all seasons, particularly stunning during autumn foliage.
