Nakano Broadway is a four-floor shopping complex five minutes north of Nakano Station, home to over 100 stores specializing in anime, manga, figures, idol goods, and vintage collectibles — including 26 Mandarake specialty shops. Less crowded and touristy than Akihabara, it is the preferred destination for finding rare vintage items at more reasonable prices. - The 2nd and 3rd floors house the core anime, manga, and figure shops. Items are displayed in locked glass cases — ring the bell on the cabinet to call a staff member when you want to purchase. Weekday late mornings to early afternoons are the quietest times; weekends can be packed. Walk through the 225-meter Nakano Sunmall arcade between the station and Broadway for additional shopping and food options.
