Narita International Airport, Japan's primary international gateway, is located in Chiba Prefecture east of Tokyo and operates three terminals — T1 and T2 for full-service carriers and T3 for budget airlines. All terminals offer duty-free shopping, Japanese dining (ramen, sushi, tempura), and convenience stores, along with massage chairs facing the runway for relaxing between flights. Access to central Tokyo is via Narita Express (approx. 55 min) or Keisei Skyliner (approx. 40 min).
- 1. If using an LCC at Terminal 3, allow extra time — it's connected to T2 by a walkway but takes around 15 minutes on foot. 2. Airside duty-free options narrow considerably after security; complete your landside shopping before check-in. 3. ATMs in T1 and T2 operate 24 hours; currency exchange counters are also available throughout. 4. Nine Hours capsule hotel in T2 (B1F) is useful for early-morning flights or long layovers.
