One of Japan's most famous castles, originally built by Toyotomi Hideyoshi in 1583. The current reconstructed tower houses a museum showcasing the history of the castle and the Osaka region. The surrounding park is a popular cherry blossom spot in spring.
- Take the elevator to the 8th floor observation deck for panoramic views of Osaka.
- Cherry blossom season (late March to early April) is the most scenic time to visit.
- Admission to the tower is ¥600; the surrounding park and moat area are free.
- Allow at least 1-2 hours to explore the castle grounds and museum.
