Philosopher's Path, Sakyo-ku, Kyoto, Japan
A peaceful canal-side walking path lined with hundreds of cherry trees, named after the philosopher Nishida Kitaro who meditated along it daily. Especially magical during cherry blossom season when petals blanket the waterway.
- Walk from Ginkaku-ji (north) to Nanzen-ji (south) for a gentle downhill stroll. Small cafes dot the path for a rest stop.
