Sangwonsa is a Silla Dynasty-era temple situated at 1,000m elevation on Odaesan Mountain, with approximately 1,400 years of history. It houses National Treasure No. 36, a bronze bell cast in 725 AD during the reign of King Seongdeok, the oldest existing temple bell in Korea. The temple is also famous for the 8km Seonjae Trail hike through a fir tree forest from Woljeongsa Temple.

- At 1,000m elevation, it is cool even in summer; bring a light jacket
