  • Try age-manju (fried buns) and ningyo-yaki (doll-shaped cakes) on Nakamise-dori. Around 100 yen each.
  • Go early morning to avoid crowds and get clean photos. After 10am it gets packed.
  • Worth seeing lit up at night. Shops close but the temple grounds are open 24 hours.
