Tsunoshima Bridge is a 1,780-meter free-to-cross bridge linking Tsunoshima island to the Yamaguchi mainland across the emerald Sea of Japan. Opened in 2000, its striking white arc against crystal-clear water has made it one of the most photographed spots in western Japan, frequently appearing in TV commercials. The island also hosts one of Japan's oldest Western-style lighthouses, built during the Meiji era.

- Stopping on the bridge is prohibited — use the Amagase Park viewpoint on the mainland side for photos. Midday on clear days gives the most vivid emerald water color for the classic white-bridge contrast shot. Combine with Motonosumi Inari Shrine (123 torii gates) about 40 minutes north for an efficient day trip. Summer offers beach activities on Cobalt Blue Beach; spring brings lush green scenery along the drive.
