Bonsuwon Galbi
A flagship galbi restaurant near Suwon Hwaseong Fortress, carrying on the legacy of Suwon-style galbi. Their signature is thick-cut beef short ribs marinated in sweet soy sauce and charcoal-grilled — the classic Suwon wang-galbi.

Traditional market at the southern gate of Hwaseong Fortress. Sundae (blood sausage), tteokbokki, and seasonal fruits. Friday-Saturday night market has street food stalls.

Suwon Chicken Street (Tongdak Golmok)
A whole street of fried whole chicken restaurants near Hwaseong. Since the 1970s, these shops have served crispy whole fried chicken (tongdak) with pickled radish - the original Korean fried chicken.
