UNESCO World Heritage artificial stone grotto housing a magnificent seated Buddha statue overlooking the East Sea. Built in the 8th century, it represents the pinnacle of Silla art and engineering. The serene Buddha is considered one of Asia's finest Buddhist sculptures.
- Visit early morning for fewer crowds and mystical atmosphere.
- The 3km mountain trail from Bulguksa to Seokguram is a beautiful hike (1 hour).
- Photography inside the grotto is not allowed.
