Location
35 Eulji-ro 36-gil, Jung District, Seoul, South Korea
Korea's largest dried seafood market, located near Euljiro 4-ga in Jung-gu, Seoul, with over 60 years of history since its 1959 opening. Hundreds of varieties of dried seafood — squid, pollack, seaweed, kelp, various jeotgal (salted seafood) — are available at wholesale and retail. Famous snacks within the market include twisted doughnuts (kkwabaegi) and black rice hotteok.
- Hours: 03:00–18:00, closed Sundays. A 2-minute walk from Exit 8 of Euljiro 4-ga Station (Lines 2 & 5). Gift sets for Chuseok and Lunar New Year are far cheaper here than at department stores, so expect crowds in the weeks before major holidays.
