UNESCO World Heritage Site (2014). A 12km mountain fortress built during the Joseon Dynasty. Cherry blossoms bloom along the fortress wall trail in spring. 30 minutes from Seoul — great for a day hike.

- Bus 9 from Sanseong Station (Line 8). Get off at South Gate.
- Full loop takes 3-4 hours. North Gate to West Gate has the best cherry blossoms.
- Mountain vegetable bibimbap is the signature dish inside the fortress.
