A 243-meter mountain at the heart of Seoul, crowned by N Seoul Tower (total height 479.7 m), the city's most recognizable landmark. Visitors can ascend by cable car (opened 1962, ~3 minutes) or on foot through forested trails. The panoramic views of central Seoul are magnificent by day and spectacular at night. Cherry blossoms in spring and autumn foliage add seasonal charm.
- The cable car station is a 10-minute walk from Exit 3 of Myeongdong Station (Line 4). Visit early on weekends to avoid long cable car queues. The N Seoul Tower observatory requires a separate ticket; the love padlock fence is a beloved attraction.
