The Statue of Admiral Yi Sun-sin stands 17 meters tall in Gwanghwamun Square, Seoul, erected in 1968. Sculpted by Kim Se-jung, it honors the legendary naval commander who defended Korea during the Japanese invasions of 1592-1598.
