The largest of the Five Grand Palaces built during the Joseon Dynasty. Watch the Royal Guard Changing Ceremony at 10:00 and 14:00.
- Watch the Royal Guard Changing Ceremony (10am, 2pm)
- Stroll the palace grounds in a hanbok (free entry)
- Photograph Gyeonghoeru Pavilion reflected in the pond
- Find the Amisan Chimneys photo spot
- Exit through the north gate to Bukchon Hanok Village
- Wear a hanbok (traditional Korean dress) for free entry! Rental shops are right outside the palace.
- The guard ceremony is at Gwanghwamun Gate.
- Allow 2-3 hours minimum for a proper visit, the grounds are much bigger than expected.
- Walk south to Insadong and Jogyesa Temple after, they connect naturally on foot.
