The author visited Yeouido twice to see the cherry blossoms. The first time, the flowers were not fully bloomed despite the festival starting. The second time, on her birthday, the flowers were blooming beautifully, but the area was very crowded. She noted the presence of cartoonists and musicians, but a surprising lack of food carts inside the main festival gates.
